HippoChamp Foal & Embryo Auction

Article by Hippomundo

Only four days left until the first edition of the HippoChamp foal and embryo auction. Both Friday 11 and Saturday 12 August, exclusive future stars will be auctioned under the eye of John O’ Kelly. All the foals descend from special dam lines: a Balou du Rouet out of the sister to Albführen's Paille, a Cornet Obolensky out of the sister to Clarimo ASK, Cassini I and Cassini II, a Diamant de Semilly half-brother of Nic Nac Quality, a Chacco Blue out of the sister to Valentina van 't Heike, it’s just a small selection of the exceptional collection that HippoChamp has put together.

The fact that they aim on exclusive quality at HippoChamp is noticeable: not only one of the last Chacco Blue embryos will be sold, also a Darco daughter, Rotchild son and Heartbreaker embryo will go over the counter.

All this is combined with the 54th edition of the Belgian Championship for Young Horses in Gesves. In total there are almost 900 of the best horses born in Belgium competing there. This event, which attracts many dealers, gives an extra boost to HippoChamp. The three Belgian studbooks together  (BWP, Zangersheide and SBS) account for 25% of the total prize money in the world. Grand Prix stars like Emerald van 't Ruytershof, HH Azur, Barron, … are all Belgian horses. The secret lies in the top dam lines: proven sport families bred and selected to jump and combined with proven sires or young promising stallions. Thanks to HippoChamp you can own such a top talent!
