Horse Auction Belgium ready after four selections

Article by Horse Auction Belgium
The fourth edition of Horse Auction Belgium on Saturday evening January 13 promises to be a special one. After the first selection day for young show jumpers for the auction at CSI2 * Opglabbeek, Michel Spaas and his team were not satisfied. The quality had to be higher and horses were added to the collection until last week.

"The only downside is that the photos and videos were not made in one location, but we now have an auction collection that we had in mind. We now have 26 horses in the age of 2.5 and 3.5 years, most of them very interestingly bred, and also six embryos from top performance dam lines, brought in by Flanders Foal Auction", says Michel Spaas from Studfarm Berkenbroeck.

The auction organisation include Christophe Gijbels and for the first time Kevin Gielen and they could count on support from Santiago Diaz and Patrick Vandereyt. "We have brought together really good till extremely good horses. There are also a few potential hunters, who also show their trot on the video. The horses had to jump very convincingly, but good X-rays are also required. It was not easy. Most owners keep their three-year-olds in the meadows until the end of September and then we already started with our selection. I am proud that it succeeded,” tells Spaas.

Horse Auction Belgium will be organized at Sentower Park during the international CSI2* competition on January 13, 2018. Guests are welcome at 7 pm, after which the auction will start at 8 pm. The auction includes offspring of Diamant de Semilly, Balou du Rouet, Cardento, Kannan, Arko III, Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve and Vigo d'Arsouilles. The embryos that will be born in 2018 descend from Comme il Faut, Bamako de Muze, Halifax van de Kluisebos, Vigo d'Arsouilles and even Heartbreaker.
